Troubleshooting Notes Not Saving

First, check the browser

If a Note All draft does not appear after returning to the site, make sure you are using the same browser, device, and browser profile. Local drafts do not automatically move between Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, phones, laptops, or private windows.

Common causes

What to try

Return to the exact browser where you wrote the note. Check normal browsing mode instead of private mode. Make sure cookies and site data are allowed for Note All. If your browser has strict privacy settings, add an exception for the site. Then type a short test note, refresh the page, and see whether it returns.

If the note is gone

If site data was cleared, the local draft may not be recoverable from Note All. Check whether you downloaded a file, copied the text into another app, or have the note open in another tab. Also check your Downloads folder for saved .txt files.

Prevent the problem next time

Use autosave for convenience, but download important notes. Avoid writing long important notes in private browsing unless you plan to copy or download them before closing the window. Before clearing cookies or site data, save every note you want to keep.

Test storage with a small note

Before writing something long, type a short test note, wait a moment, refresh the page, and confirm that the text returns. This quick test can reveal whether the browser allows local storage for the site. If the test note disappears immediately, check privacy settings before relying on autosave.

When to contact support

If you can repeat the problem, contact Note All with the browser name, device type, page URL, and the exact steps. For example, mention whether the note disappears after refresh, after closing the tab, after restarting the browser, or only after clearing data. Clear details make technical issues easier to investigate.
